Menstrual phase

What is happening to me?

  • Day 1-6, for some up to day 9
  • Hormone levels are at rock bottom
  • Pains and cramps in the lower abdomen, fatigue, headache and back pain, weakness, digestive problems
  • Give yourself a break and don't push yourself

During menstruation, the body tries to protect the blood it releases at the same time - this brings with it all the unpleasant symptoms and pain. For this phase to run smoothly, the body needs enough iron and minerals such as vitamin B6 and magnesium to support the formation of new blood.

  • Rest

  • Hydration

  • Gentle movement

  • Foods rich in iron
